Cool Woods range of wines are produced by Thorn-Clarke winery in the Barossa, South Australia. The name Cool Woods was inspired by the rolling hills and scattered ‘big gums’ at our Angaston vineyard. These hills were once heavily forested with eucalypt, settlement of the region in the mid 1800’s resulted in clearing of large grazing properties by the early settlers – today some of the gums still standing on our property are over 200 years old.

Wozu represents the fertile land and mighty clan. It is a joint venture international winery that strengthens by 2 great wine companies: Yantai Haishi Wine Co and GNT Fine Wines in Australia.

In Australia, Wozu produces the premium Australian wines to showcase different region characteristics and bring typical Australia style wine to China.

Clifton Estate obtained it’s name from Little Clifton in Cumbria England. Our property in the Barossa was settled on the 2nd of March, 1854. In that year a vineyard of Shiraz grapes was planted near the Clifton homestead and thus one of the oldest surviving Shiraz vineyards in Australia, and possibly the world, was established

Bass Phillip – aptly named after George Bass and Admiral Arthur Phillip – men of great pioneering spirit, foresight and leadership. That spirit lives on and is embodied in the founder and winemaker Phillip Jones who first established the winery in the southeastern corner of Australia in 1979, specialising in high-quality pinot noir and chardonnay wines.

Winemaking at Bass Phillip is uncompromising and driven by the respect for nature. The vineyards are organic since 1993 and biodynamic since 2002. All wine production process at Bass Phillip is guided by the cosmic rhythms that impart energy and vibrancy into the wines.
